Atlantic City Showcase

PTT 11U, 12U and 13U Boys are all in Atlantic City this weekend competing in the highly competitve Atlantic City Showcase Tournament. Â
Our 13U boys lost 2 tough games, the first to an elite NY Gauchos team and the second by 1 point to tough Bulls team from Maryland. Our 11U boys are 1-1 with a 3 point victory over Team NJ ABC and a 1 point loss to Team World Elite.  The 13U boys are playing hard and hopefully tomorrow will be able to get that elusive victory. The 13U standout in Day 1 was Akeem King, who has been playing hard all day. In the first game Akeem hit 2 BIG three pointers, one which seemed like it was from half court, in the second half to ignite a run that brought PTT within striking distance. Unfortunately they were not able to close the gap. The 11U standout in Day 1 was Jamir “2 Dollar” Johnson.

The highlight game of Day 1 was the 12U contest against the always tough Sam Cassell All Stars from Baltimore. The boys from B-more were tough, big, and fast, but the Philly crew battled to a hard fought victory. Philly Triple Threat was led by Jason Clark (pictured), the versatile forward, who led the team in points and rebounds and was second in assists in the game. Jason constantly attacked the basket on offense, and crashed the boards on defense, while almost single handedly carrying the team in the first half while the rest of the team warmed up. In the second half, Jason was joined by Quadair Bradley and Josh Sharkey as Triple Threat broke the tough Cassell press and pulled out the victory.
