Brittany Hrynko, the star point guard for Philly Triple Threat 16U girls team and Engineering & Science High School, was recently featured in the Philadelphia Inquirrer sports section. The link to the article can be found below:

Brit has been part of the Triple Threat family for the past 3 years and has grown and matured tremendously both as a player and as a person over that period of time. She is one of the most gifted point guards in the country and is a highly recruited basketball player that will end up playing at a high level in college. However, even with all of her success on the court, our proudest moment was at the end of the first marking period this year when Brit presented her report card to us and she made the honor roll. Congratulations Brittany…..keep it up!!!!
Deja Rawls - Philly Triple Threat Player of the Week

Deja is one of the hardest working players within our organization, you can always find her in the gym, whether it’s practicing with the girls, practicing with the boys or just by herself working on her game……she is destined for success. Deja is a strong contributor on our 13U girls team and is looking forward to a great travel season this spring. She is also participating on our 12U BOYS team in the City Rec leagues this winter and is one of the leading scorers on the team. In a recent game vs the Philly Rockets, Deja led the team to victory with 10 points.
Deja is also a terrific student, as a 7th grader at Abington Middle School she was on the honor roll last marking period. She was the winner of Philly Triple Threat student athlete award last month and received free tix to the Sixers vs Sacramento Kings as a result of her academic achievement.Congrats Deja, keep up the great work!!

Jamil Elliott - Triple Threat Player of The Week

Jamil aka “Twin” is a combo guard that plays for our 12U team, both on the AAU circuit as well as in the local Philly recreational leagues. Jamil is a deadly shooter and leads the team in 3 point percentage. Jamil, his brother Jalil and Josh Sharkey have wreaked havoc on opposing teams defensively with a suffocating press that opposing guards have come to fear. In a recent city rec game, where our 12U team won 59-28 over the Philly Rockets, Jamil sank 4 key three point baskets in the lopsided victory.Jamil a 7th grader at Wissahickon Charter School, is also a terrific student. He participated in the statewide spelling be in 2009 and did very well. Watch out for “twin”, he has a great future ahead of him, on the court and off.

Philly Triple Threat at Clash For The Cup

All 3 of our boys teams took a trip up the turnpike to play in the Clash For The Cup tournament in Neptune, NJ which was organized by Basketball Spotlight (www.bballspotlight.com). It was a very competitive tournament which featured some of the top teams from up and down the east coast. Our 11U boys advanced to the championship but lost a close game to Team Battle. The boys played hard all weekend and represented Philly Triple Threat to the fullest. Our 12U and 13U teams also played hard, however fell short in Pool Play. Congrats to the 11U team MVP Trevon Duval and to Khalil Parker who walked away with tournament sportsmanship award.
