This is a celebration of a young lady’s dream being fulfilled. From the Lawcrest, to being a life-long ambassador of Philly Triple Threat, to Engineering & Science High School, Brittany Hyrnko’s ascension in the world of basketball will inspire future PTTers to come.

While at Depaul, Hrynko was nothing short of amazing. She capped her career off by being named an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press and the Women’s Basketball Association (WBCA). Brittany also led the Blue Demons to back to back BIG EAST regular season and tournament championships while averaging 19.1 points per game. Her leadership skills were also instrumental in guiding the program to their 13th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance.

Points? Brittany scored those. She reached double figures in 32 of 35 games. The point goddess poured in a career-high 38 points against Georgetown, and dropped 30 points in 4 games. Hyrnko’s accuracy behind the arc was sniper-like- tying DePaul’s single game record for 3?s by nailing 8 against Xavier on Feb 8. She led the team with 88 three pointer, and finished second on DePaul’s all-time list with 281 3-pointers. Respect the shooter.

Got dimes? Ms. Hynrko certainly does. She dished it so well that she broke the all-times assists record at Depaul with 680. Hynrko’s consistent excellence on the court garnered her BIG EAST Player of the Week honors and culminated with her receiving the BIG EAST Player of the Year award.

With all of her accolades, Brittany Hrynko’s greatest achievement came when she was selected 19th overall (7th in the 2nd round) by the Connecticut Sun then traded to the Atlanta Dream. Congratulations, Brittany Hrynko. A dreamer has become The Dream.
